Schiphol, The Netherlands, 25 May 2021 – Industry leaders explore the future of aviation at the hybrid CANSO Asia Pacific Conference 2021, hosted by NiuSky Pacific Limited in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and livestreamed worldwide.
Message from Hai Eng Chiang
Thank you for joining the more than 400 people who registered to attend our CANSO Asia Pacific Conference on 19 and 20 May. Our conference was kindly hosted by NiuSky Pacific Ltd for in-person guests at Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and streamed online to a global audience.
With the theme of ‘Navigating ATM Recovery in the Asia Pacific’, the conference brought together CEOs and ATM experts from ANSPs and industry across the region to discuss the new normal for ATM.
There were some great conversations about how ANSPs can leverage advances and innovation in technology and processes to emerge stronger from the current crisis.
I am especially grateful for the input of our key speakers, particularly our guest of honour – The Hon. Sekie Agisa, Minister for Civil Aviation, Papua New Guinea, and
our special guest speaker, Mr. Conrad Clifford, IATA Regional Vice-President Asia Pacific.
I also appreciate the excellent input we had from eight of the region’s CEOs and deputies and from the ATM experts who joined us to share the latest developments and best practices in ATM cybersecurity, UTM, and ATFM/CDM.
We have made the recordings of both days of the conference available now for those who were unable to join us live, as well as those who want to watch again. You can also download the slides, and see our sponsors’ takeaways.
Finally, among the real highlights of the event were the cultural performances arranged by our colleagues in Papua New Guinea. Traditional dancers welcomed our speakers on day one and then helped us close the conference on day two. All of us watching deeply appreciated their contribution in making this hybrid event a great success.
Thank you again for your participation. We look forward to welcoming you to our next Asia Pacific Conference, and many other events and webinars, soon.
